This is Ricketts Glen's one of 22 waterfalls!
During the summer, you might find yourself bored or looking for a new hobby to be entertained with. Well you’re in luck! Here are some wonderful places to hike in Pennsylvania. This will help keep yourself enthused during the summer months or chilly Autumn's, depending on your time of travel. Especially, if you are looking to get outdoors and enjoy the sun during both seasons! You could bring your family, pets, and others. Let’s look at some great hiking destinations.
1. Ricketts Glen: Benton, P.A.
Ricketts Glen is located in Pennsylvania. This is probably one of my favorite spots to travel to during the summer months. This location has about 22 waterfalls and is definitely a must-see park. You can see one of the waterfalls located on the top of this blog.
2. The Seven Tubs Nature Area: Bear-Creek, P.A.
The Seven Tubs Recreational Park offers seven different waterfalls with many different hiking trails. You can practically start anywhere on the trail. This is very family friendly and pet friendly spots, one of my other favorite places to hike.
3. Hickory Run (Fireline Trail) – White Haven, P.A.
The Hickory run trail is about two miles long. The paths connect and has a waterfall. This trail overlooks Lehigh County. Great place to adventure, if you’re looking for a scenery type of hike. While you are in the area, you can visit Boulder Field and Hickory Run beach. The Boulder field is about 1, 800 ft. long filled with boulders (aka Rock). “The beach” is a small lake where the majority of people visit during the summer on a hot day! Very nice place to visit, with a lot of activities.
